(Effective as of August 26, 2025)
1. Eligibility
- The Contest is open only to legal residents of the following U.S. states:
Alabama, Alaska, California, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin, West Virginia. - Participants must be 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in their state of residence, if higher).
- Void in all other U.S. states and territories, and void outside the United States.
- Employees, affiliates, contractors, or representatives of the Organizer are not eligible to enter.
2. Contest Types
- Free-to-Enter Contests (No Consideration Required)
- No payment is required to enter.
- Prizes are funded entirely by the Organizer.
- Paid-Entry Contests (Consideration Required)
- Entry fees are collected via TradingBlitz.games.
- A minimum of 50% of entry fees are distributed as prizes. The Organizer retains the remaining portion for operations and profit.
3. Platforms and Gameplay
- Tournament administration, entry, fees, and results tracking are conducted on TradingBlitz.games (“Tournament Platform”).
- Gameplay is conducted on TradingBlitz.com (“Gameplay Platform”).
- Contestants locate opponents in the Leaders section on TradingBlitz.com and may:
- Issue a Challenge request to an opponent, or
- Accept a Challenge request received from an opponent.
- Once a tournament level begins, all matches in that level must be completed within 10 minutes.
- If a player is not present during the 10-minute window or is experiencing technical difficulties that are not resolved within the 10 minutes, the Organizer may deem that player to have forfeited the match.
4. Contest Structure and Game Mechanics
- Matches are organized in a ladder tournament format hosted on TradingBlitz.games, where winners advance through each level until an overall champion is determined.
- TO ISSUE OR ACCEPT A CHALLENGE REQUEST IN A LADDER TOURNAMENT, A PARTICIPANT’S TRADINGBLITZ.COM ACCOUNT MUST HAVE:
- A MINIMUM VIRTUAL BALANCE OF $75,000, AND
- TRADED ON AT LEAST THREE SOLO CHART GAMES
PARTICIPANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREEMNTS ARE INELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN CHALLENGE MATCHES UNTIL THEY DO.
- Each match is played on a randomly selected historical daily stock chart from a pool of ~1,800 stocks (5–20 years of historical data).
- Each chart displays 400 bars for analysis followed by 200 bars for trading, for a total of 600 bars.
- Players do not know the stock name or time period.
- Each participant begins with a virtual $500,000 balance and has access to 5x leverage (margin trading).
- The player who finishes with the higher ending balance (or loses less if both incur losses) wins the match.
- If both players lose their entire balance, a rematch will be played on a new chart to determine the winner.
5. Result Verification
- The Organizer will define and oversee the process for verifying match results.
- Verification may include, but is not limited to, screenshots submitted through approved channels, live screenshare review, or in-person confirmation.
- The Organizer will update the official ladder with verified results.
- All determinations by the Organizer are final and binding. Results not verified through the Organizer are invalid.
6. Dispute Resolution
- Any discrepancies or disputes regarding results will be resolved by the Organizer.
- The Organizer’s decision is final and binding, including the authority to require a rematch in unclear or disputed cases.
7. Prizes
- Free-Entry Contests: Prizes are announced in advance and funded solely by the Organizer.
- Paid-Entry Contests: At least 50% of entry fees will be distributed as prizes. The remainder may be retained by the Organizer for operations and profit.
- Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes on prizes.
- Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted except at the Organizer’s discretion.
8. Technical Requirements
- For online play, participants are responsible for their own internet connection, hardware, and software. The Organizer is not responsible for technical issues arising from the participant’s equipment or connectivity.
- For in-person play, the Organizer will oversee matches and manage any technical issues in a fair manner.
9. General Conditions
- The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant who tampers with the contest, misrepresents results, or violates these Official Rules.
- By entering, participants agree to abide by these rules and by the decisions of the Organizer.
- This Contest is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
10. Privacy
- Participant data will be collected and used solely for the administration of the Contest, in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy.
- Participants may be asked to consent to promotional use of their name, likeness, or results, except where prohibited by law.
Appendix – Skill-Based Nature of the Contest
- Chart Pool and Randomization
- Contest charts are drawn from ~1,800 U.S. stocks with 5–20 years of data.
- Millions of possible chart variations exist, ensuring unpredictability.
- Equal Information Access
- Both players view the same chart sequence: 400 bars for analysis followed by 200 bars for trading.
- The identity of the stock and time period are concealed.
- Skill Over Chance
- Success depends on a participant’s ability to apply technical analysis, risk management, and trading strategy.
- While chart selection is randomized, outcomes are determined by player decisions, not chance.
- Challenge and Level Timing
- Players must locate opponents via the Leaders section on TradingBlitz.com and either issue or accept a Challenge request.
- All matches within a given tournament level must be completed within 10 minutes from the start of that level.
- If a player is absent or experiencing unresolved technical difficulties within the 10-minute window, the Organizer may forfeit that player’s match.
- Result Verification
- The Organizer determines the method of result verification at the time of the match (e.g., screenshot submission, live screenshare, in-person oversight).
- Only Organizer-verified results are recognized as official.
- Dispute Resolution
- The Organizer has sole authority to resolve disputes.
- Decisions are final and binding, including the ability to require rematches.
- Prize Transparency
- Free contests: prizes fully funded by Organizer.
- Paid contests: at least 50% of entry fees are distributed to winners.
